Chapter: 687
She shifted, embracing a stuffed animal tightly.

Her room was adorned with a variety of stuffed animals, and her bed alone was adorned with three fluffy pillows.

"Just go to sleep."

Susanna pouted. "I'm not a child! I can be of real help! Trust me."

Despite being mature, her brother still treated her as a child and kept secrets from her!

“I've got it under control. Go to sleep."

“I'm saying that if you apologize now and send a message to calm Norah, it could resolve things. But if you remain stubborn, it'll lead to a stalemate, believe me!"

Drawing from her extensive experience of reading novels, Susanna believed that a young couple being upset with each other overnight was a clear indicator of an impending stalemate.

She didn't want two cold, expressionless individuals near her.

After Susanna sent the message, she received no response from Sean.

She gritted her teeth. She genuinely wanted to offer her brother some advice, yet he just ignored her. It really pissed her off.

Snorting, she decided to send a message to Norah.

She felt much better after telling Norah not to speak with Sean.

Guessing Sean would have a rough time in the following days, Susanna smiled, locked her phone screen, and hugged the stuffed animal tightly. She believed Sean didn't realize how fortunate he was to have such an excellent girlfriend like Norah. How could he be angry with her?

Before drifting off to sleep, Susanna remembered another important task. She made a mental note to ask Phillip to watch over Sean and ward off any unwanted attention from other women.

Lying in bed, Norah had just replied to Susanna's message, her mind swirling with thoughts. It was nearly midnight. Was Sean still outside? Their argument had gotten out of hand.

She pursed her lips, regretting something she might have said too harshly.

“Honey, are you still up?" It was a message from Sean.

Their previous messages had fallen into a pattern-consisting of morning greetings, good nights, checking up on her whereabouts, and asking if she had eaten. These routines lacked any sense of genuine affection.

Norah didn't think there was anything wrong, but she hesitated before replying. "No."

“Are you still angry?"

No."

Her anger had already dissipated after she had taken a bath and eaten. She was not one to hold a grudge over a trivial matter.

However, when she had argued with Sean before, she had stood her ground firmly. That was her limit. She wouldn't give in when she believed she was right.
