Chapter: 937
Growing increasingly frustrated with Norah's lack of response, the young woman became angry.

“Excuse me! Can you hear me talking to you? You're being incredibly rude! If I find out your name, I'll have my brother take action to bar you from the entertainment industry! Humph! Are you scared? Just engage in conversation with me, and I'll drop the matter. Or perhaps you can't hear me? Are you suffering from hearing loss?"

Norah continued to ignore her absurd remarks throughout.

Thinking that she might have been mocking a deaf person, the expression of arrogance on the young woman's face quickly turned into guilt.

“Why didn't you tell me before I laughed at her?" she asked, angry at her two followers.

"We... We weren't aware either," they both said fearfully.

The woman in red reached for a plate, selected some desserts, and then handed the plate to Norah.

She then patted Norah and gestured for her to eat.

“These are for you."

She believed she was doing the right thing, showing kindness towards people in need.

Her two followers exchanged awkward glances. How could a country bumpkin afford a haute couture dress? However, they dared not voice their thoughts.

Norah had finished her desserts as the girl watched and she was now quite full.

In response to the young lady's kind offer, she said, "Thanks, but I don't need them."

Her voice sounded as clear as a bell.

The young lady's smile froze on her face. “You're not deaf?"

"I never said I was deaf," Norah answered, staring at her.

The young woman flung the plate onto the table. She hadn't expected Norah to deceive her. She wanted to curse at her, but the words seemed to have abandoned her.

When she saw Norah eating the cakes just now, she had thought Norah was a country bumpkin unaccustomed to such events. People usually came to such events to create connections and not to eat.

She was a spoilt girl and had then decided to have some fun at Norah's expense.

But she had not expected to be made a fool of.

As the beloved and spoiled daughter of the Boyd family, Yolande believed that she was the one who made fun of others, not the other way around!

Seeing that Yolande had Lost her tongue amidst being made a fool of, one of her followers decided to champion her cause. "Who do you think you are? How dare you make a fool out of Miss Boyd? All she has to do is say a word, and you'll be kicked out of here.”

There was a hint of surprise on Norah's eyes when she heard the name "Miss Boyd". She'd heard Sean say Yolande was a sweet little girl.

Had she changed?
