Chapter: 213
"Your reputation certainly precedes you. Oasis Jewelry truly stands by its name," he remarked.

A surge of relief washed over Kaitlin, and she seized the moment.

“What are your expectations for your partners?"

She eagerly offered the figurative olive branch, hoping to cement the deal.

Shawn had only just arrived in the country, making it unwise to rush his decisions.

Nonetheless, Kaitlin's blend of boldness and caution, coupled with the high standards of Oasis Jewelry, made a favorable impression on him.

"I don't have strict criteria for choosing partners, but you seem to meet them quite well," he responded.

Kaitlin, pleased by his words, chose not to press further, knowing the value of leaving space for negotiation in business dealings.

After a thoughtful pause, Shawn continued, “Moreover, the landscape in Osewood is stunning, and I haven't yet had the chance to really see it. There's no hurry to dive into business discussions."

Without hesitation, Kaitlin offered, “Mr. Murphy, I'd be delighted to show you around. Osewood is where I grew up, and I'm familiar with all its most scenic spots."

His response came with a warm, deepening smile. "Ms. Gilbert, such directness must be a trait of the women from Osewood."

Having spent his childhood overseas, Shawn was not well acquainted with Osewood or its residents, especially the women.

Kaitlin responded with a wave of her hand, "Each Osewood woman is unique. I can't speak for everyone."

She seized the moment to express her appreciation for their meeting.

"It's been an honor to meet you tonight, Mr. Murphy. Let's toast to what the future holds."

With that, she lifted her glass, and Shawn, with equal grace, matched her gesture from across the table.

Later, as they headed home, Nora was still abuzz with excitement. "I still can't believe we met Mr. Murphy tonight. He's a major figure internationally, and it's rare to see him at these kinds of gatherings. Yet, he was nothing like I expected-so gentle in his demeanor, not at all haughty."

Kaitlin agreed, her composure anchored by previous experiences in similar situations.

"I have a feeling this partnership is definitely coming our way,"

Kaitlin said confidently.

Nora nodded in agreement. "You're doing great, Kaitlin. I wouldn't have known what to say at the start without you."

With a playful chuckle, Kaitlin tapped Nora on the forehead. "You're a renowned designer, Nora. It's surprising you're still so shy. You need to get out more, maybe with Phoebe, and gain some more experience. Opportunities like this will come around often."

Nora giggled in response. "I'll work hard and learn from both you and Phoebe."

The following afternoon, after Kaitlin had wrapped up a meeting, a significant visitor arrived at her office.
