Chapter: 252
Surprisingly, Shawn's response was muted; he simply offered a faint smile.
"Mr. Murphy, you're.."
“I'm fine with it. If she has refused, we'll leave it at that. The overseas project isn't urgent," he assured his assistant, who nodded, though still puzzled by his boss's calm demeanor.
“By the way, how did that assignment I gave you turn out?" Shawn asked.
The assistant quickly organized his findings and presented the information he had gathered about the Hewitt Group.
Shawn Listened and then issued some directives. "Set up meetings with the heads of the companies currently working with Hewitt Group."
“I'm on it, Mr. Murphy."
Later that evening, Shawn met with the presidents of two companies.
He discussed his ongoing projects and discreetly bribed them.
These companies, which were in charge of production supplies, were taken aback by Shawn's suggestions.
"Mr. Murphy, this would violate our contracts and incur costs. Besides, our business relationships rely on trust. How could we betray a partner?" one of them said, flustered.
“I'm not suggesting you act dishonestly. But aren't there occasional accidents with your equipment?" Shawn looked at them meaningfully, his suggestion evident.
"If a machine fails and requires repairs, wouldn't that halt production? And if that disruption affects the supply chain, you wouldn't be at fault, would you? After all, accidents are unforeseen and out of our hands."
With these hints from Shawn, the two presidents found it hard to object.
While it wasn't ideal to upset the Hewitt Group, antagonizing the Murphy Group was also not advisable.
Moreover, staging a few accidents for financial gain and other advantages appeared straightforward.
In the end, both presents accepted Shawn's scheme.
After seeing his guests out, Shawn allowed himself a smirk. Causing minor disruptions for Alan was proving to be quite amusing.
In addition, Shawn was locked in a fierce rivalry with the Hewitt Group over various contracts, engaging in aggressive bid wars that inflicted heavy financial damage on the Hewitt Group.
Alan was overwhelmed by these complications.
His team had discovered that these disruptions were not coincidental; the evidence subtly led back to Shawn.
They eventually verified a tattoo on Shawn, though the image was fuzzy. It depicted a tattoo on his neck.
Alan examined the blurry image once more. “Are you certain this is Shawn?"
"Yes, we acquired this at a high price from a paparazzo. It was snapped at Shawn's estate in Osewood."
