Chapter: 262
Promptly, Ashley phoned Lilliana, assigning her several tasks.
Lilliana wasted no time. She gathered a few friends and they all headed to Oasis Studio.
Sporting sunglasses and trendy outfits, they initially confused the receptionist for significant patrons.
“Do you all have an appointment? Are you here to meet a specific designer?" the receptionist inquired.
"What appointment? We're friends of Ashley's. She told us Mr. Hewitt frequently buys jewelry here to impress her. We're just here to browse," said the leader, removing her sunglasses with a haughty air.
They brought up Ashley and even involved Alan, making it a point to ensure their names were recognized by everyone around.
The receptionist, clearly puzzled, furrowed her brow. "Do you have an appointment or not?"
"Don't you get it? We're friends of Ashley's. Mr. Hewitt ordered some jewelry here, and we came to check it out."
"Mr. Hewitt?" The receptionist's polite smile wavered, confusion setting in. "I'm sorry, but Mr. Hewitt hasn't made any recent purchases at Oasis Studio. Are you certain you're at the right place?"
From behind, Lilliana joined in. "Who's mistaken here? Years ago, Mr. Hewitt promised to buy my sister a unique diamond ring from the most prestigious studio in Osewood as an engagement present."
The receptionist's eyes widened, struck by the revelation.
It was well-known at Oasis Studio about Kaitlin and Alan's connection.
How could there be such a surprising twist?
"If you don't believe me, just look!" Lilliana unlocked her phone and thrust it towards the receptionist. "See? Isn't that Mr. Hewitt?"
The receptionist had encountered Alan several times in the studio and was struck by his unmistakable presence.
The photo, although captured from a rather covert angle, unmistakably featured Alan.
Lilliana didn't quickly reclaim the photo; instead, she allowed it to sit, her face taking on an increasingly self-satisfied look.
Her sole intention was to fuel the gossip.
"See that? Mr. Hewitt and Ashley were in a relationship. It's Kaitlin who's the mistress here!"
The receptionist came to her senses, realizing these individuals were here to cause trouble. “If you don't have an appointment, I must ask you to leave."
Kaitlin, being the boss, was known for treating her staff exceptionally well, offering benefits rarely matched elsewhere.
The receptionist felt a strong loyalty to Kaitlin and wanted to stand up for her.
“Why the hostility? Is this how Oasis Studio usually treats its guests?" Lilliana challenged, pulling out her phone and slyly pointing it at the receptionist.
“We do not accommodate walk-ins without appointments. Please leave," the receptionist responded, keeping her tone as courteous as possible.
