Chapter: 289
Phoebe nodded and said, “Alright, I'll let her know you stopped by and say a few good words on your behalf."

When Kaitlin eventually woke up, Phoebe exaggerated Alan's visit a bit. "Kaitlin, you should have seen how worried Alan looked. He was concerned you might encounter trouble traveling alone."

Phoebe's tone amused Kaitlin immensely.

"Is it really that dramatic?"

"Absolutely! He stood at the door for five minutes just watching you sleep through the glass. Imagine that scene..." Phoebe teased Kaitlin for a bit before she stopped.

“Truthfully, Alan is just concerned that no one will look after you. He's really stepping up these days.”

Phoebe quickly shifted back to a serious tone, and Kaitlin raised an eyebrow.

“Did Alan bribe you? Come on, how much did he pay?"

"He would buy me off? If I had known sooner, I would have asked him for millions. Otherwise, I wouldn't have put in a good word for him Phoebe burst into laughter. "Kaitlin, I think Alan has really changed. You've noticed, haven't you?"

Kaitlin couldn't help but smile, feeling a bit sheepish. "Why bring this up now?"

“Kaitlin, your baby will be here in a few months. Don't you think about getting back together with him?"

Phoebe, being Kaitlin's longtime best friend, always had her best interests at heart.

If they remarried, the child would have a stable family right from the start.

“Remarriage... I'll think about it later. I have so much work right now. Getting remarried is the last thing on my mind." Kaitlin hesitated for a moment before closing the topic.

Phoebe sighed but chose not to press further. "When you head to Estresa, I'll make sure two personal assistants are with you to ensure you're well cared for."

Kaitlin nodded, accepting her best friend's thoughtful gesture. "I'll leave the studio in your capable hands while I'm away. Thanks for all your hard work. When I get back, dinner's on me."

Phoebe said, "We're best friends; formalities like these aren't necessary between us."

Over the next few days, Kaitlin started her preparations for her trip to Estresa.

The day before she left, Alan picked Kaitlin up from work.

They strolled together, bathed in the soft glow of the street Lamps, creating a serene and picturesque setting.

After a brief pause, Alan broke the silence. "Look after yourself. Give me a call if you need anything."

Kaitlin, touched by his words, let out a soft laugh. "I'm not a child. There's no need to worry."

Alan chuckled lightly and said, "Just don't overdo it at work, okay?"

"Alright, I'll take your advice."
