Chapter: 304
Kaitlin shook her head and replied, "I have an interview in a few minutes. I can head home after that. I've committed to Mr. Collins. Let me wrap this up first."
Alan's expression grew stern. But seeing Kaitlin's determination, he reluctantly agreed.
Instead of changing into the outfit provided by the organizers, Kaitlin opted for her own casual clothes.
The makeup artist applied some blush to mask her pale face.
Alan looked worried. Before Kaitlin reappeared on stage, he warned her, “Just a few minutes. Let me know immediately if you're not feeling well."
Kaitlin said with a nod, "Don't worry. I feel better now."
She gave him a reassuring smile before stepping back onto the stage.
The mood of the interview was light. The questions were straightforward and official, requiring no elaborate thought.
Dressed casually, Kaitlin appeared at ease in front of the cameras.
After addressing the formal questions, some reporters started to delve into more personal topics.
“Ms. Gilbert, I've heard rumors of a special someone guarding you closely. There have even been photos circulating. Is there any good news you'd like to share with us?"
The reporter tactfully avoided mentioning Alan by name, clearly aware that he was not someone to provoke, so he could only ask it in a humorous way.
Kaitlin was taken aback. She preferred to keep her personal life private.
This interview was supposed to focus on the competition. The reporter's question was out of line.
Kaitlin maintained a courteous smile, attempting to deflect.
"In life, just like in this competition, it's impossible to predict what the next moment might bring. Who will win the championship is anybody's guess.”
“So, Ms. Gilbert, you haven't made plans to remarry yet?" the reporter insisted.
Kaitlin's smile stiffened. She hadn't anticipated that the reporter would misunderstand her words and press further.
She had been patient until the final moments of the interview. As she hesitated, other reporters started firing off their questions.
"Ms. Gilbert, it's said that you have more than one admirer."
"Ms. Gilbert, as a judge, your popularity is unexpected. Are you orchestrating this somehow?"
Kaitlin frowned at these spiteful questions.
Alan, who had been keeping an eye on the situation, sensed something amiss and quickly approached.
“Excuse us." He made his way through the crowd, took Kaitlin by the hand, and started to lead her away.
