Chapter: 333
Huntley nodded in agreement as soon as the conversation steered toward money.

"Don't worry. I was born and raised in Osewood. Growing up, I worked on various construction sites and did all sorts of tiring jobs, so I'm quite familiar with the area," he said enthusiastically.

With a chuckle, he added, “Though my hair has grayed, my eyesight and hearing are still sharp. My memory hasn't failed me yet either."

The assistant glanced at him disapprovingly. "Make sure you answer Mr. Murphy's questions without bringing up irrelevant details," he advised in a low voice.

"I understand," Huntley assured him with another nod.

Upon arriving at the studio, Huntley was promptly ushered into Shawn's office.

“Mr. Murphy, this gentleman was in charge of the construction site for that project." The assistant introduced.

Shawn looked up from his papers and set them aside.

“Hello, Mr. Murphy. I'm Huntley Perry. May I ask which project you are curious about?" Huntley said with a smile.

He pretended to be oblivious to the topic at hand.

“You can leave now." Shawn dismissed the assistant with a casual wave.

The assistant quickly exited and closed the door behind him.

"Do you recall the suburban development project from ten years ago?"

Shawn asked.

He examined Huntley with a scrutinizing gaze.

Huntley frowned slightly and shook his head with hesitation. "Ten years, you say? Oh, Mr. Murphy, that does put me on the spot. How could I remember all the details from so long ago?" he responded with a light laugh, attempting to deflect.

“Weren't you in charge of that site? Don't you recall anything at all?" Shawn pressed, his expression growing stern.

“If you give me a moment, perhaps something will come back to me,"

Huntley said with a shrug.

Shawn's patience thinned as he glared at Huntley, then decided not to waste further time. He pulled out the project files and began reading aloud the details that might jog Huntley's memory.

A moment later, Huntley's face lit up. "Oh, that project! It rings a bell!" he exclaimed.

"Now that you recall, tell me about the relationship between Hewitt Group and Aston Group at the time." Shawn's expression remained stern as he probed further.

"Relationship?" Huntley appeared momentarily puzzled. “Truthfully, there wasn't much harmony between them, but that was beyond our concern. We focused on our work as long as our paychecks arrived on time."

“Get to the point!" Shawn demanded, slamming his hand on the desk.
