Chapter: 356
Upon entering the room, he recognized several faces, exactly as he had anticipated.

Someone approached to greet Alan. After exchanging pleasantries, Alan took his front-row seat.

The conference was about to start, and the attendees settled into their places.

The seat next to Alan's remained unoccupied.

This represented Hewitt Group's position in Osewood. Generally, those from minor companies didn't dare to sit next to him.

“Mr. Hewitt, what a surprise to see you here!"

Alan turned toward the voice and raised an eyebrow, surprised to encounter Shawn at the event. "Mr. Murphy, are you interested in this project too?"

Without waiting for an invitation, Shawn took the seat next to him and nodded. “Absolutely, there are great opportunities all over Osewood, and we're eager to claim our share. Mr. Hewitt, you didn't expect to see me, did you?"

“Murphy Group has been successful abroad. Are you planning to expand into Osewood now?" Alan spoke in a detached tone and didn't look at Shawn. Frankly, he didn't care about Shawn at all.

"As a businessman, I'm drawn wherever there's profit to be made."

Shawn chuckled. They were on equal footing.

The surrounding attendees took notice, and murmurs filled the room.

"Is that the CEO of Murphy Group from overseas? It's odd. Isn't he primarily in the jewelry business? Why does this project interest him?"

“And he's sitting right next to Mr. Hewitt. Is he looking to challenge Hewitt Group?"

“Murphy Group has deep pockets, being a well-established company internationally. But this is Osewood; they can't outdo Hewitt Group."

“We'll see what happens. The results will tell us more soon."

The bidding started shortly after.

The host delivered the customary opening remarks and then announced the results of the first round of bidding for the Royal Garden Road project.

This bidding was unusual. Although confidential, the process required three rounds in total.

The situation was indeed complicated.

Many companies present lacked the capability to outbid Hewitt Group.

ALL eyes were typically on Alan.

However, this occasion felt different. Shawn seemed poised for a win, sparking curiosity among the other executives about the outcome.

"Mr. Hewitt seems quite confident about this project," Shawn whispered, audible only to those nearby.
