Struggling to keep her composure, Belinda silently began to push Miguel's wheelchair out of the room.

Once they were settled in the car, her frustration boiled over.

"How can Shawn, along with Alan and Kaitlin, just walk over us? Are we just supposed to take it? This evening was a complete disaster! What would my father and brothers think if they knew?" she fumed.

Belinda clenched her jaw, trying not to dwell on the humiliation.

Miguel shot her an impatient look and cut her off. “Enough, Belinda. What's your father's decision regarding what I asked?"
