Kaitlin agreed and instructed the bodyguards, "Please wait for me in the car."

The two bodyguards exchanged worried looks. "Miss Gilbert, we could stand guard at the door. We won't get in the way. Protecting you is our responsibility," one of them said.

"There's no need to be overly cautious. We're on the Gilbert family's territory. With so many people around, it's not fitting for you to remain so close."
