Kaitlin pouted, her expression one of boredom. “I was just so bored! Look at me, I've only stepped out for a little while. Don't I seem a bit more cheerful?"

Alan examined her closely and nodded. "Indeed."

"So, please don't be upset. I was actually sitting close by and about to head back. I had bodyguards with me too. They have been waiting in the car."

Kaitlin gestured towards a car parked at the corner. "I'll tell them they can go back first.”

Alan responded, “If you're up for it, why don't we go for a ride now? Then I'll drive you back home. What do you think?"
