Chapter: 9
“Well, I've actually been designing various styles secretly over the years, and never released them."

Kaitlin pulled out her phone and sent Phoebe some sketches. "Check these out, see if they match your themes. If not, I'll whip up something new right away."

As Phoebe clicked open her email, her eyes brightened with each sketch she scrolled through.

“Oh my God! Kaitlin, you're brilliant!"

Her enthusiasm was palpable as she clutched Kaitlin's hand, her eyes sparkling with admiration. "These designs could sweep international awards! You've still got it!"

Kaitlin responded with a modest smile, "I'm happy to be of help.”

Phoebe continued to heap praise on her friend and then added with a hint of mischief, "I heard Lilliana is competing in the Krulvia Jewelry Design Contest next week. What if we take a shot at it too?"

Kaitlin agreed instantly, her determination clear.

If they were to enter, they would do so with a bang-to ensure Lilliana got the message loud and clear.

"Let's get these designs over to our partners and make sure they know I'm behind them. Update our website too. Announce my return to the design studio," Kaitlin instructed confidently.

Phoebe gasped in surprise, "Really?!"

She remembered when Kaitlin had stepped away from the studio, declaring it her final bow, yet her designs still caused a stir in the design community.

Phoebe felt a surge of gratitude for Kaitlin's willingness to assist, but she hadn't anticipated such a full-scale comeback.

Filled with excitement, Phoebe exclaimed, "Then I'll transfer your shares back to you-"

"There's no rush on that," Kaitlin interjected, her focus shifting to more pressing matters. “Go ahead and start with what I've asked."

Kaitlin picked up the laptop next to her and began navigating the Internet. As she did, she stumbled upon a barrage of disparaging articles about Nora.

“Tsk, they built her up as a genius designer, yet it seems she just slept her way to the top!"

"Poor Lilliana. Despite her talent securing the design job, she ended up being mistreated."

"Good riddance! Let's boycott her and that Oasis Studio! They've earned it!"

"Please, remember Oasis Studio was Kay's creation. Even though Kay has retired, it remains part of her legacy."

“Oh, miss Kay... Since she left, the standards at Oasis Studio have plummeted. And now, hiring such mediocre talent? It's just sad."

Kaitlin's gaze hardened. She logged into an outdated chat application and initiated a chat.

“I need full details about the incident with Nora Andrews. Once you get them, leak everything online," she said.

The response was swift. “Whoa, Kay? Thought you were gone for good."
