Jonathan didn't respond but climbed out of bed.

Then, Bethany spotted her phone charging on the table.

How did it get there?

Last night.. Had she plugged in her phone before bed?

Bethany tapped her forehead, unable to recall.

Forget it.

Bethany had assumed Jonathan would continue giving her the silent treatment. However, after she dressed, she found him freshly showered, dressed, and waiting at the door.

"Let's go."

“Huh? Where to?"

“I promised Nola and Rowan we'd go to the amusement park today.”

This was news to Bethany.

“I'm picking up the kids. We'll meet you downstairs.”

With no room for discussion, Jonathan turned and left the room.

Bethany then remembered his words from the previous day.

He said that after spending the last three days together, he would let her go.

It seemed Jonathan had shifted from planning their future to focusing on just these three days.

Meanwhile, Aimee was left wondering why Nikolas hadn't returned all night.

Aimee couldn't reach him; his phone was off all day!

She waited at home for some time but as dusk settled, she drove to the hospital parking lot and saw Nikolas’ car was gone.

He had left the hospital.

Initially, Aimee was infuriated by Nikolas' sudden disappearance without any word. However, as hours passed, her anger turned to concern.

Numerous unsettling thoughts raced through her mind.

Could Nikolas have been kidnapped, perhaps targeted for his flashy sports car?

Or, might he have been in an accident on his way back to the company?
