Chapter: 1066
Kai's response came swiftly. "Okay."

Siena's eyelids drooped, yearning for rest, when her phone's shrill ring shattered the silence.

It was Marvin Singh, a suitor of Siena's.

“Marvin, there's no need to keep calling me. I have never had any feelings for you. The only reason I agreed to go out with you last time was to make Nikolas jealous."

"Where are you now?" Marvin's voice was insistent, undeterred.

“That's none of your concern."

"I went to your house, and your parents said you hadn't been home for days. Where are you?" Marvin pushed, ignoring her coldness.

With a heavy sigh, Siena snapped, "My daughter is sick. I'm at the hospital, taking care of her. Yes, I have a daughter! Will you leave me alone now?"

Marvin was silent for a moment, then asked, "Which hospital?"

"It's none of your business!"

Siena snapped, ending the call. As she looked up, her heart skipped a beat. There, standing at the door of the ward, was Nikolas.

He was here!

Siena's weary eyes lit up instantly. "Nikolas! Are you here to see our daughter?"

"I'm here to find out who the father of this child is," Nikolas responded, his voice dripping with anger and sarcasm.

All because of this woman, his relationship with Aimee had spiraled into chaos! How could he not be furious?

“Of course it's you! Nikolas, even if you don't want to acknowledge her, don't you dare tarnish my name!" Siena kept her voice low, wary of waking her daughter. She quickly stood and pulled Nikolas out of the ward. “Your parents demanded a paternity test. I agreed without hesitation! Why do you keep doubting me? Once the test is done, you'll have your answers."

Nikolas gripped her wrist. "Fine, if you're so sure, let's do the paternity test now!"

"The baby is sleeping!" Siena protested.

"Now!"

Siena frowned, her lips pressed into a thin line. "Fine, let's do it. I'll bring her."

A few moments later, she reappeared, her daughter crying in her arms.

Nikolas and Siena headed straight for the paternity test, paying extra to expedite the results, which would be ready in two hours.

Nikolas didn't leave; he stayed, his gaze fixed on Siena, ensuring she couldn't interfere.

The baby, exhausted from crying, eventually fell asleep in Siena's arms, her tiny chest rising and falling rhythmically.
