Chapter: 1162
Suddenly, a notification popped up stating that the post had been removed.

Bethany logged out and then back into the platform. The post had indeed disappeared.

Some people quickly posted to inquire who had removed the post.

Bethany refreshed the page once more, only to find that even the post with the question had vanished.

That was a relief. Bethany felt a weight lift off her shoulders.

She was impressed by the efficiency and thoroughness of Bates Group's management. Such trivial gossip had no place in the company.

Just as Bethany was about to set her phone aside and return to her flowers, her phone rang with a video call from Jonathan.

Bethany's hand twitched in surprise before she answered the call, slightly unprepared.

The next moment, Jonathan's face filled the screen.

"You're up?" Bethany asked with a slight, awkward smile.

She remembered the time difference. It must be morning in Ferindel.

"Yes," Jonathan replied, then shifted the camera to show their two children.

They were still asleep. Rowan lay neatly in the bed, while Nola was sleeping on the pillow.

Bethany started to record the video, intending to watch it again later.

While she was adjusting her phone, Jonathan queried, "What are you doing?"

"I'm looking for a vase for these flowers," Bethany responded nonchalantly.

After a brief pause, Jonathan asked, "Did someone from the company give them to you?"

He wondered silently if it might have been Jayson, though he didn't voice this thought.

“Yes! A colleague gave them to me."

Jonathan said, "It seems you really like the flowers.”

Bethany, who usually kept to herself, rarely showed interest in anything she didn't care for.

"I do." What girl didn't appreciate flowers? "And if I put them in water soon, they'll stay fresh longer. Some started wilting after being in the office all afternoon."

Bethany believed that flowers were grown to make their fleeting beauty worthwhile. Extending their lifespan as much as possible just made sense.

It was a reciprocal effort. Since the flowers were hers to enjoy, she felt compelled to preserve their splendor.
