“I didn't say that. I just need some clothes. This basement is freezing. Aren't you cold?" Maddie replied.

The guard stood, approached her, and touched the back of her hand.

Her skin, though not as soft and fair as before, still retained its delicacy.

“How considerate of you to notice I'm cold! So, what do you want from me? Don't think I'm foolish enough to believe you've suddenly taken an interest in me." He scoffed.
