As they drove, Nikolas got a call from Jonathan.

"Is it convenient for you to attend the spring science and technology seminar? You'll need to leave the city for three days." Jonathan was aware of Aimee's situation, so he asked without making any decisions for Nikolas.

Glancing at Aimee, Nikolas hesitated to agree until he was sure she didn't mind.
