"You're back!"

Hearing him enter, Bethany rose from the sofa and approached him barefoot.

He quickly closed the distance and enveloped her in his arms. “Put on your shoes!"

"It's only a few steps," Bethany replied with a small smile teasing him slightly. "I see you like to control every step I take."
