"If Mr. Bates wishes to see you, he'll reach out," the bodyguard finally replied.

"Am I not allowed to request a meeting?" Samira gritted her teeth, pacing back and forth before stopping in front of him again. “Fine, if I can't see Jonathan, I'll go to Bethany! You know I ran into her this morning, right? I'm sure you reported that to your boss. Next time I see her, I'll tell her Jonathan's planning to marry me!"

The bodyguard's expression changed slightly.

Samira smirked. "And don't think for a second that he'd dare do anything to me afterward. If I'm harmed, Bethany will go down with me!"
