When they reached the apartment, Bethany noticed Nikolas' car speeding towards them.

He had figured out where Aimee was.

"Jonathan." Nikolas exhaled with relief upon seeing them. "Bethany, could you help me talk to her? Aimee's really upset. She might even start crying. If I go up, she could run off again."

Bethany thought for a moment, then nodded. “Sure, I'll check on her first. If I can calm her down, I'll let you know."

She worried Aimee might overreact and make things worse.
