The line went dead, leaving Bethany standing there, her heart pounding. Her legs felt Like they could give way any second, and her hands were shaking so badly she could barely grip the phone.

Bethany was barely holding it together, but Aimee was in full-on panic mode.

Just a short while ago, Aimee had kept insisting that everything was fine. Now, though, she was sobbing uncontrollably, her fear spilling out. "Bethany, am I really going to lose the baby?"

“Stop crying! We're going to the hospital now!"

Bethany fought to stay calm, knowing she couldn't afford to break down, not now. She had to stay strong for Aimee. “Don't worry. It's going to be alright. You just had a little bump. We'll be at the hospital soon, and everything will be okay."
