“What is it you want to talk about?" Samira finally asked, her curiosity getting the best of her. She needed a clue, something to guide her thoughts.

"It's just a question I need answered. Nothing too urgent." His response was deliberately vague, shutting down any further inquiry.

Realizing she wouldn't get more out of him, Samira let it go for now.

She wasn't about to push and risk looking foolish. After all, she'd get her answers soon enough.

When the call ended, Jonathan quickly sent her the details of the restaurant, scheduling the meeting for two hours later.
