“Let's set up a meeting place first. We should talk face to face, okay?" she suggested, her voice interrupted by coughs, seemingly to emphasize her urgency.

Ryan was not the only one who heard her; Jayson had just entered to ask Ryan about his breakfast preferences.

"Didn't Samira tell you she had already given you the temporary antidote?" Ryan remembered asking Samira about when she administered the temporary antidote to Bethany and Jonathan.
