"But the truth is I can't." Jayson sighed, answering his own question.

"So, Jonathan, be nice to her. That'll be enough to fulfill my last wish."

Before anyone could figure out what he was doing, Jayson rushed forward and shoved Jonathan hard. He didn't hesitate, just turned and made his way straight for the elevator leading to the top floor.

He didn't even take one last look at Bethany! Because he was afraid if he did, he wouldn't be able to walk away.

Jonathan, caught completely off guard, stumbled back several steps and slammed into the wall. Pain shot through him, but he shook it off and chased after Jayson.
