“I should thank you. You're making a big effort for our company."

The intense summer heat made any outdoor task daunting. Everyone preferred the cool, air-conditioned office with a refreshing iced coffee in hand.

"It's all part of the job, especially with the pay we get," Lillie said, heading towards the door. Yet, she hesitated, hand on the doorknob.
