"You mentioned the drug earlier. What's the story with that?" Mia asked.

"Yeah, the drug. What exactly was it?"

"I don't know. There was no label when I got it." Mia recalled Ben's cryptic warning when he handed it over-if she lost it, finding a replacement would be nearly impossible. She never understood what it was or how it worked.

Rowland's brows knitted tightly. “You had no idea what it was, yet you used it on me?"

Mia shrank back, giving a nervous chuckle. "I was young and reckless back then. I didn't think it through."
