After ending the call, Naomi looked up to see Dooley watching her. He was surprised that she would lie.

“It's just a little white lie, okay? Rowan's a mess right now, and both of us are not equipped to handle this any other way," she explained, brushing off the unspoken accusation.

"I didn't accuse you of anything." Dooley shrugged.
