"Oh, just looking at some houses." She could feel Dooley's gaze on her from behind, even though he hadn't moved from his spot near the car.

Colby glanced over at him briefly. He seemed to size Dooley up before dismissing him altogether, assuming he was just the family driver. A good-looking driver, though.

"You're checking out houses here?" Colby asked, gesturing to the development around them.

"Yeah."

"Do you like it here? Is it close to work?" Colby's smile widened. "Well, this is my uncle's property. If you see anything you like, let me know. I'll give it to you as a gift."
