Caught off guard by such a personal question, Bethany stuttered, “yihat 2"

"Come on, answer! I've always wondered about his, let's say, bedroom skills. He always looks so reserved. His handsome, composed appearance makes it seem like he keeps his distance from everyone. Does he look different when having sex? Is he enthusiastic?"

Enthusiastic.

Jonathan was indeed enthusiastic in bed.

“Wait, Aimee, let's be serious." Bethany was taken aback by the sudden turn in conversation.

Aimee stuck out her tongue, giggling. “I can't help it. I don't have any other way to find out. But seriously, if you're entangled with Mr. Bates, I think you should keep your distance."

“Why?" Bethany asked.

"He's in love with someone else. He's been single for years, which shows how significant the person in his heart is. Maybe he appreciates your professional abilities, and that's why he treats you well."

Bethany rubbed her forehead. "The person he loves isn't Maddie."

"Then who?" Aimee asked. “I've never heard about any other women around him. It can't be you."

She turned to look at Bethany.

Their eyes met, and they both paused for a few seconds...

Suddenly, Aimee exclaimed, “It's you? Is the person Mr. Bates has always been fond of actually you?"

Bethany, slightly awkward, admitted, “It seems so, given everything that's happened."

She was as surprised by this revelation as Aimee was now.

Bethany had been unsure until Nikolas had confirmed it.

"Then marry Mr. Bates and start a family with him. You could be the hostess of Bates Group!" Aimee exclaimed, her excitement palpable as if she had won a jackpot.

Her enthusiasm was understandable given the prestige associated with becoming part of the Bates family.

"It's considered nearly sacrilegious for most people to even dream of such a position!" Aimee added.

“Things are complicated," Bethany replied. At least now, there were many obstacles in their path.

She felt overwhelmed and sought Aimee's advice on what to do next.

Bethany took her time explaining everything. It was clear to Aimee that Bethany's path to becoming part of the Bates family, especially with Maddie in the picture, was fraught with obstacles.
