Chapter: 423
Bethany's lips tightened slightly; she found the notion somewhat peculiar.

Usually, when she was alone, all she wanted was to relax, sleep, or just unwind.

He picked up on her silent surprise and elaborated, "I have a friend in Brokdon who's looking to start a ride-hailing app. I'm going over to explore the idea."

"Really?" Bethany's interest sparked, partly out of professional habit. "Brokdon doesn't have a ride-hailing app?"

“Well, there is QuickRide, but it's not very comprehensive and only has limited coverage. The parent company doesn't focus much on Brokdon, so there's minimal promotion."

"True, with the mountainous terrain and the tricky city center, Brokdon would need a robust network of drivers and significant marketing efforts for an app to take off." Bethany momentarily forgot he had initially asked for travel tips, her mind now racing through the business potential.

If she weren't planning to leave the country, she might have considered getting involved.

"It sounds like you know quite a bit about this."

Bethany smiled. "Not really, just sharing some thoughts.”

He asked further, “Are you interested?"

"I am, but... I'm relocating overseas soon and won't be here to engage with the project."

As soon as Bethany finished speaking, she distinctly heard the sound of shattering glass over the phone, followed by a loud crash.

"You're going abroad?" the driver asked, surprised.

“Yes, I want to see the world." All these years, she had been so busy with work and making money that she had forgotten to pause and enjoy life.

She hadn't even given her kids the attention they deserved, which made her feel very guilty.

So, she decided to resign and spend quality time with her children while traveling abroad. She wanted them to feel her love and presence, something she had missed out on as a child.

"Yeah... That's good."

“By the way, how about I recommend some good restaurants in Brokdon? You can try them during the inspection.”

“That'd be great."

Bethany chatted with the driver, sharing everything she knew.

The driver listened quietly, to the point where Bethany wondered if he might have fallen asleep.

Eventually, feeling sleepy herself, she said, “That's all. If you forget any of them, you can ask me."

“Okay. You should get some rest. Good night."

"Good night."
