Chapter: 731
“You're going back?"

“Of course," she replied, heading for the door.

Nicholas scrunched his face. "Why not just sleep here? It's the same bed."

"Nope. It's different."

Nikolas clicked his tongue in frustration, standing up to face her.

"What's the difference?"

"You're not in my room." Her words were a cool rebuff.

For a moment, Nikolas was struck silent.

Aimee was so tired so she wasn't about to argue.

She bent to gather her clothes and turned to leave, but Nikolas placed a firm grip on her arm. “What's wrong with you? What are you not satisfied with?"

“Nothing. The evening had been enjoyable, but now it was over."

“Then why leave?" His puzzled expression was almost comical, forgetting how he'd once hurried other girls out. His face plainly said, "I don't get it.”

Aimee sighed, searching for an excuse. "I'm just not used to sharing a bed."

"Did you leave after spending the night with your ex, too?" he pressed.

“That's none of your business," she snapped. Her ex was nothing Like Nikolas.

Nikolas, also too tired to continue the argument, ran a hand through his damp hair, clearly frustrated.

“Fine, go back to sleep. Call me when you wake up."

Aimee ignored him and headed for the door.

But the man wasn't done.

"Wait a minute! I just realized I don't have your number, and you don't have mine."

"Yeah." Aimee nodded, clearly uninterested.

She didn't give a shit.

Unfazed by her indifference, Nikolas handed her his phone. "Type your number in, and I'll save it."

Aimee took a quick look at Nikolas’ phone without any intention of taking it.
