Chapter: 739
Bethany's heart skipped a beat. “What do you mean?"

Jonathan gave her a helpless look. "Having you wash me feels like torture."

He figured it would be best to wait until he felt completely satisfied before she attempted it again, to spare him the discomfort.

By then, however, Bethany would be exhausted, barely able to lift her arms.

Bethany needed only a few seconds to grasp his meaning.

Lately, he had been voraciously indulgent in their intimate moments.

It was as though he was trying to compensate for four lost years.

Consequently, she was always weary.

“So, what should we do? Should we consider hiring a male nurse?"

"No." That would be even more awkward!

It was uncommon to see Jonathan looking uncertain. His usually composed expression replaced with hesitation. Bethany, noticing this, let out a light smile. "Or maybe we could ask Nikolas? He's a close friend of yours. You'd be comfortable with him, right?"

"Forget it."

“Why not?"

Jonathan met her gaze, a playful smile spreading across his face.

"He'd be jealous because I'm stronger than him."

Bethany glared at him.

It was often said that men had boundless confidence in such matters.

“By the way, you don't need to worry about finding a tour guide for Aimee. She mentioned she's leaving as soon as she wakes up."

“Why the sudden change of heart?"

"I'm not sure." Bethany shook her head. "Maybe Jayson rushed her."

At the mention of Jayson, a shadow fell over Jonathan's handsome features.

"Since when did you two become Like a family?" Jonathan asked.

"I can't quite recall." And she truly couldn't.

Yet, Jonathan pressed on, "Did it happen during the past four years?"
