He gripped Aimee's wrists with one hand and tilted her face up by the chin with the other before pressing his lips against hers.

Kissing her was something he enjoyed.

His presence was overpowering; before Aimee could gather her thoughts, she found herself responding despite herself.

Regaining her senses, she pushed against him, and he reluctantly broke the kiss, licking his lips with a look of contentment.

“Believe it or not, I can have the police arrest you for indecency!" she yelled.

“I could tell your neighbors you slept with me yet refused to be my girlfriend."

Nikolas flashed a mischievous grin. “What do you think your mother would do if she knew?"

"Release me first! Let's just talk, alright? I'm not comfortable Like this!"

Pressed against the wall, Aimee felt a sharp pain in her back.

Suddenly aware of his actions, Nikolas relaxed his grip slightly, yet he maintained a cautious hold on Aimee's clothes, fearing she might attempt to flee again.

"Really, Nikolas?" Rubbing her sore back, Aimee winced. “Is this how you expect to win a girlfriend?"

"Yes," he affirmed with a nod.

“Then hear me out. I can't see you as my boyfriend!" Aimee declared firmly. “I've mentioned it before; your past interest in Maddie repulses me. I can't overlook that Maddie had once caused Bethany pain, and Nikolas' affection for Maddie had not gone unnoticed by Aimee.

Irritated, Nikolas instinctively reached for a cigarette, only to remember he had left it in his car.

“To be clear, I never actively pursued Maddie. We've known each other for a while and get along well, but there's never been anything romantic between us-not even holding hands," he explained.

Why did Aimee feel disgusted?

Aimee asked sharply, “Haven't you been intimate with Maddie?"

"No, absolutely not!" Nikolas lifted his hands in denial.

"That's because Maddie was into Jonathan, not you. She never slept with you."

Nikolas didn't know how to retort.

"If she had made a move, could you have resisted?" Aimee snorted and stepped back. "Nikolas, I'm not sure what you're after, but us being together? That's not a good idea.”

She was unwilling to be with a man who had once harbored feelings for Maddie.

"What if I'd never liked Maddie? Would you consider me then?" Nikolas pressed.
