Chapter: 788
"That's quite the commitment. Are you thinking of settling down there?"
"I wanted to be prepared for whenever you might want to see the snow, so I bought a place where we can stay anytime you wish."
Jonathan disliked hotels due to his preference for cleanliness.
Although business travel often required hotel stays, he preferred owning properties in cities he frequented.
“Okay." Bethany nodded. “Is the purchase complete?"
Jonathan turned to look at her and replied, "Yes, you know how efficient Brody is."
"Then I'd like to see it beforehand-when you get better." She wasn't sure she could wait until winter to see the snow in Harvein, but she could at least visit the house.
It was a thoughtful gesture from Jonathan, and she wanted to appreciate it without any regrets.
“Okay, I'll go with you."
"No, you stay in Wesden. I'll check it out myself! Your health isn't the best right now. You shouldn't be traveling."
“Are you saying I'm too ill to travel?"
Jonathan raised an eyebrow and looked at her questioningly.
Bethany's cheeks turned pink. “ I wasn't talking about that kind of ability."
“Let's return together," Jonathan said firmly, looking into her eyes.
“Then we can bring Nola and Rowan with us."
He planned to pick them up from Jayson personally.
"Alright."
Bethany gave a slight nod.
She had her own strategy in mind. If Jayson caught sight of Jonathan, it would extinguish any residual hopes he harbored.
Bethany had stalled him for years already. Allowing this to persist would only deepen his fixation.
After assisting Jonathan with his bath, Bethany meticulously dried his hair, ensuring he was thoroughly dry before he went on his way.
His wounds healed slowly. A cold leading to an infection would only extend his recovery.
She quickly showered, then wrapped herself in a robe and stepped out of the bathroom.
Jonathan was at his laptop, slightly hunched, engaged in a work conversation with Brody.
