Chapter: 837
She accompanied Jayson to the bedroom previously used by Nola. After shutting the door, Jayson asked, “How much more do you need to gather for B7's final payment?"

She had thought it was something else. “It's nothing. I can handle it myself."

"Bethany, I saw you were selling stocks and properties, so I bought them all."

Bethany was taken aback. "What? Really, Jayson?"

"So, how much do you need? Just tell me, and I'll lend it to you. Stop selling off your assets, or the Bates family might notice you're gathering funds."

If they looked into it deeply, the consequences could be severe.

If they reached B7 before the surveillance footage was restored, they'd be in a tough spot.

After much discussion, Bethany finally agreed.

However, she set a condition: she would transfer her assets to Jayson first. If she failed to repay him, he would keep them. That way, he wouldn't lose out.

Jayson knew her well enough not to argue further. He simply nodded and said, “Alright, we'll do it your way."

“Let's go back out," she said, not wanting to keep Jonathan waiting too Long.

Just as she reached for the door, Jayson stopped her.

She looked at him, puzzled.

He looked serious and asked, "Are you really prepared to stand by the truth, even if it means going against Jonathan?"

"Absolutely. I've come too far and am close to having the evidence. I can't back down now."

Jayson frowned, then asked, "Do you love Jonathan?"

Bethany hesitated, then said, “Nothing will stop me from bringing my mother's killer to justice. His mother must face the consequences."

“I understand." Jayson released her. “I'm with you, and I'll do everything I can."

"Jayson..."

“When the truth comes out, I promise I'll find someone to marry.”

Bethany's expression stiffened. She knew she couldn't change his mind, no matter how hard she tried.

As she exited the room, Jonathan stood and asked, "Can we go now?"

"Yes." Bethany nodded and went over to Jonathan.

As they reached the doorway, Jayson suddenly called out to stop Bethany.
