Chapter: 889
"You're all mine now; they'll have to agree." Then he placed his hand on her shoulder.

Aimee quickly brushed it off, cautioning him to keep his more carefree side hidden from her parents.

The sincerity of the Bennett family was clear. They not only bought a lot of gifts but also showed genuine respect towards Aimee's parents, consistently praising her and affirming that their son was fortunate to have her.

As the evening drew to a close, Aimee felt a sense of relief that the ordeal was nearly over.

Relief was palpable in Nikolas' voice. "If my parents hadn't come, convincing yours would have been much tougher!”

Aimee turned to him, her voice low. “What would you do if my parents didn't agree?"

Nikolas raised his eyebrows. "Do you want the honest answer?"

“Of course!"

“I'd have to ensure you were pregnant first; then they couldn't reject our marriage!"

Aimee's frown deepened at his words.

“Why do you always come up with such drastic plans? Nikolas Bennett, do you enjoy forcing situations?"

Nikolas adopted an innocent expression and replied, “Why don't you trust me? I've never chased anyone like this before. You're the first, and these tactics are all for you. But you're not easy to win over. I had no choice."

He had aspired to be the perfect gentleman, but Aimee was no ordinary woman. He had tried flattery, committed numerous desperate acts, and even endured slaps. What more could he do?

"Alright. Don't act as though you're the aggrieved party. I never asked you to pursue me."

"Yes, you're right. I just want to get you home and find new ways to ‘torture’ you after work every day!"

Aimee responded by pinching his waist sharply. "Dare you say that to my parents?"

Aimee tried to pinch Nikolas' waist again, but he caught her hand before she could.

"You can't touch a man's waist!" he murmured, his voice low and husky, causing Aimee to freeze in surprise.

Nikolas leaned closer, his breath tickling her ear. “If you want to touch, you can only touch mine."

When Bethany and Jonathan had returned from Wesden, Aimee and Nikolas had been at odds with each other. Now that they were back from Harvein, Aimee and Nikolas were hand in hand.

"Oh my God! Aunt Aimee, you wouldn't slap Nikolas anymore?" Rowan exclaimed bluntly, surprise evident on his little face.

He remembered vividly the time Aimee had slapped Nikolas during dinner.

Embarrassed, Nikolas quickly picked up Rowan and covered his mouth.

“What do you know? That was love! Haven't you ever heard that hitting or cursing someone means you love them? It means she loves me a lot!"
