Chapter: 991
"I'm not selling it!" B7 shot back. "Jonathan, you know what's on that video, don't you? You know, don't you? No way..
Jonathan's lips thinned into a tight line, and he frowned. "Just give it to me. I'm not looking to cause trouble."
"You're trying to destroy the video?"
"If you don't care about the core system you've spent years building being destroyed, then ignore me."
B7 laughed maniacally. “Do you even know where my server is? How could you possibly destroy it..."
“Eupheidon."
B7 fell silent.
“Do you need me to send you the coordinates?"
"Damn it!" B7 erupted, his usual laid-back demeanor vanishing. He shouted, "You're ruthless, Jonathan! Have you been monitoring me all this time?"
B7 had thought his server was securely hidden. Yet, Jonathan had located it.
"Send me the video you restored within an hour. I'll have someone pick up the USB."
Jonathan's tone was commanding, leaving no room for negotiation.
"No way! That video belongs to Bethany. I won't hand it over to you! If she wants it, she can come and get it herself. I'll give it to her!"
Then, B7 yelled desperately into the phone.
“Don't attack my server!"
Jonathan responded icily, "Your system will be gone in 59 minutes.”
"Jonathan! You claim to love Bethany? You're just pretending! You want to destroy the evidence Bethany worked so hard to uncover, just to save your mother from conviction! Bethany is seeking justice! What's wrong with that?"
Jonathan bypassed B7's questions, his voice unyielding as he said, “You have 58 minutes left."
B7 was engulfed in silence.
On the other side of the line, all B7 could do was stare helplessly as his computer screen displayed the systematic destruction of his work, slowly ticking from 1% to 2%...
He had spent countless nights perfecting every detail of this system!
“Bye," Jonathan said, his voice was icy, and he betrayed no emotion.
“Wait! B7 shouted over the phone at once. “I'll give it to you. Stop the destruction!"
Satisfied, Jonathan pressed the pause button on his computer.
