Chapter: 269
What does he mean by ‘don’t go back there? My mate is in danger? Titus?
****
As Titus sat me back down in my room he looked at me confused “What’s wrong? What did you see?” He asked worriedly.
I shrugged “I don’t know, but I heard him tell me not to come back here”
“It was a male?”
I nodded my head “It was a male voice but I didn’t see it clearly”
Titus hugged me and stroked my head gently “Never mind, I’ll figure it all out, you just focus on getting yourself healed” He said softly.
However, the man said that Titus was in danger.
Could I let anything happen to my mate?
My feelings for him are deeper than I thought, whether it’s because of the mate bond or the things he did to me, whatever it is, I have to do something if he’s in danger.
Could this be related to the female doctor who treated me?
Yes, I know she has an interest in Titus, could it be about her?
Should I be wary of her?
“Morning, Gwen, how are you? Hi Rolf, you’re still here”
The next day I again realized that when the doctor paid a visit to my room, he would surely greet my mate soon.
Titus smiled kindly as he could do nothing knowing that it was the doctor who was taking care of my recovery.

I know it’s our fault for telling lies, but seeing the doctor’s reaction to the man who is my mate, I regret it so much, she doesn’t look like a person who lost her mate, she doesn’t seem to have any sadness about losing her fated mate at all.
Why, though?
“Morning… Hello, Rolf” day 4.
“Hello… how are you, Gwen? Hey, I don’t see your older brother?” The next day, again asking for Titus.
“Hello, I’m going to check the level of poison in your sister’s blood today, so we can check the level of anti–toxins” Another week had passed and there wasn’t a day when she didn’t come to visit to ask how I was doing, oh no, to check on my mate seemed to be the more accurate words.
However, why didn’t Titus react the way I expected him to?
