Chapter: 275
Abel Point of View:
My name is Abelard Maison, and I am the heir to the Maison family, one of Germany’s wealthy nobles.
My family all worked as doctors and I was no exception, but I had a slightly different interest from the rest of my family.
My interest in Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease always made me the butt of the jokes, because it was a difficult department and there wasn’t much doctors could do about it, and most importantly, the income was far different from my other siblings who were surgeons at top hospitals.
But there was one person who always had my back, my grandmother who apparently shared my interests, so it was no surprise that she gave the brain hospital in Switzerland to me.
What I thought was a good thing turned out to be my worst nightmare…
It all started in the second month since my arrival at St Patrick’s Hospital, I found a badly injured woman back in the forest.
For some reason from the moment I met her my heart was vibrating strangely and there was an electric shock when I touched her.
Strange things I want to know….
The woman woke up, that’s what one of the nurses said and I quickly made my way to the room where she was resting.
As I opened the door and looked into her eyes, I realised that love at first sight does exist.
I never believed that at 37 years old I would find someone I would love, and it was only at first sight.
What is this?
Why her?
And what’s wrong with me?
“My name is Wendy”
The first words spoken by her have been ringing in my ears all this time.
The first woman I fell in love with…
Over the following month we grew closer and it was on that full moon night that she told me a shocking revelation that answered everything that had happened to me.
“What do you mean, Wendy?” I asked in shock as we sat beside the forest behind the hospital, which was our favourite place to be together.
Actually her favourite because she really likes the forest or nature.
“Abel, I’m a werewolf, that’s why you fell in love with me from the moment you first saw me” I didn’t believe a word she said, I knew she had a brain disease, but it was sad to know that it was a delusion.
Until she stood up and took off her clothes in front of me to show me the truth.
Yes… The figure of the woman I knew turned into a big wolf that made me widen my eyes in shock until I fell to the ground.
That’s when she told me everything about her world.
