Chapter: 298
I grab her hand and hold it “What happened? Why are we here?” I asked her while taking a look around.

I never come to this place, where is it?

I don’t know there are places like this in the hospital, how can she hide it?

“This is my hidden place, baby” She said proudly and I took note of it, I guess this is where she hid everything.

I have to find out details about this place and how come no one knows about this place?

This woman is more terrifying than I originally thought, she is very dangerous because it seems that the madness is supported by the dangerous knowledge she got from her mate that she killed.

Abel, who are you exactly, how can you have this kind of knowledge and die in vain at the hands of this woman?

“Why are we here?” I asked her, trying to look innocent and interested in her only.

Wendy gave me a strange smile with an accusing look “Because of your mate…” She replied with her whole gaze fixed on me.

I tried to hold back my heartbeat as well as my emotions so that she couldn’t hear so that she could dismantle my pretense.

“Mate?” I pretended to be confused.

“You’re my mate, aren’t you, Wendy?”

So she knows that Gwen is my mate, could that be the reason she wants to remove my woman from my side so badly?

Can a woman like her love someone?

The woman named Wendy smiled widely after hearing my words, as if that was what she wanted to hear.

Yes… I knew she was trying to destroy the mate–bond between me and Gwen with her potion, but Melissa insisted that I never drink the water or food served by the hospital. That was one of the reasons I told Kurt to always fill up the gallon water in our room without anyone knowing.

However, I had to think of a way to not drink or eat anything in this place.

“A lot of people want me because of the things I know, Titus” I continued to try to keep a straight face and not react to her words.

Yes, go ahead, explain everything to me, I thought happily…

“What do you know? Your medical knowledge?” I kept trying to sound innocent.

Wendy smiled amusedly while shaking her head “I actually never studied that damn human medical science”

Trying to be surprised by raising an eyebrow “You mean you’re a genius by being able to learn that medication on your own?”

Again my question made her chuckle, as if it amused her “Of course not, a stupid. man taught me everything” She replied casually and called her mate, Abel, a stupid man easily and without regret.

I sat quietly and continued to listen to her.

Wendy smiled at me before she continued “He taught me all this” she sighed. before looking around her and walking towards the bookshelf behind me. Could these be the books Abel told me about that he got from all over the world. about remedies for all non–human magic beings?
