Chapter: 100
Alicia wasn't going to fall for his ruse. "I'm staying right here. If your hearing isn't good, I'll just speak louder."
Caden leaned back with a relaxed posture. "In that case, let's talk about the favor you owe me from before."
She looked at him in surprise.
It took a moment for her to recall the incident. On that day, Caden had lent her a jacket when her period started unexpectedly.
Back then, he mentioned that she owed him.
Naturally, Alicia knew he wouldn't request something simple.
This was the moment she had been anticipating.
Accepting that she couldn't avoid it, Alicia asked, "So, what do you have in mind?"
"Are you afraid of me?" Caden asked directly.
That question hit harder than any other approach he might have taken.
Alicia hesitated but refused to lower her guard. "It's not about fear. You're a pervert, and nobody sensible would take a chance with you," she shot back.
He wore a sly smile that didn't reach his eyes. “Then it seems you enjoy getting close to a pervert, Miss Bennett."
Anxiety flickered across Alicia. "How can you say something Like that out loud?" she exclaimed.
He glanced at Gerry, who was still unconscious. Caden knew that nothing could wake Gerry once he'd been drinking.
Without missing a beat, he continued, “It's just some adult fun between us. If you're curious, I can share more details."
Finally, Alicia conceded and moved to sit beside him.
“Alright, I'll hear you out," she said, sitting down but keeping some distance. “Can you hear me from here?"
However, engaging in conversation wasn't Caden's true intention.
He was actually trying to test a theory.
Earlier, the women who served the drinks fit the classic image of allure. They had innocent faces paired with captivating figures.
Their playful teasing could have tempted any man.
Caden attempted to feel interested, but no spark ignited within him.
Now, with Alicia seated beside him, her cunning eyes shining and her demeanor proper without a hint of flirtation, he noticed something different. He didn't feel a strong attraction, yet he didn't find her presence unpleasant. Having been intimate twice before, their bodies seemed to recognize a certain chemistry, causing a subtle reaction.
This realization set off warnings in Caden's mind.
Being naturally attuned to danger, he felt an instinctive urge to delve deeper.
Caden reached out and pulled Alicia onto his lap.
Alicia hadn't anticipated this and instinctively pressed her hands against his chest, tightening her legs to keep from slipping.
Suddenly, she remembered that Gerry was nearby, and a_ tingling sensation ran through her scalp. "Caden, Gerry is still here," she whispered.
Caden held her waist firmly, preventing her from escaping.
He gazed deeply into her eyes, ignoring everything around them. “Give me a kiss, and we'll consider your debt settled," he said.
