Alicia lowered her gaze, her lips twitching into a faint smile. “Why didn't you ask what Dorian wanted?" she asked after a pause.

Caden could tell from her expression earlier that it wasn't anything good. Why ask again and make her upset? He asked, his tone darker, "Do you want him to disappear?"
