Chapter: 448
Alicia grew red-faced. "I wrote 'dog'! Dog! Not ‘dad'!"
Caden raised an eyebrow. “Really? You can't distinguish ‘dog’ from ‘dad'? How did you ever graduate?”
Alicia was left speechless again.
They had sex twice, leaving Alicia completely exhausted.
Afterwards, she lay spent in Caden's embrace, too tired to move.
Despite her fatigue, her mind was alert. “What's happening with Joshua now?"
Caden's voice remained deep and seductive. "He's finished."
Alicia said calmly, "Then I guess our deal is over."
Caden responded leisurely, "The task is complete, but the contract lasts for a year."
Alicia was taken aback.
“How can you use that as a loophole? Joshua was our goal! I only estimated it would take a year!"
"Joshua was your target, not mine."
Alicia was surprised.
Caden gazed into her eyes, his expression a blend of sincerity and teasing. "You are."
Alicia's ears buzzed.
She felt as if her heart might jump out of her throat. "You..."
She tried to steady her emotions, and eventually whispered, “When did you start falling for me?"
Caden was caught off guard.
She touched her cheek.
"So it turns out I'm quite irresistible."
Caden found himself at a loss for words.
Caden stayed quiet before abruptly turning on the light.
The room brightened suddenly, causing Alicia to squint and shield her face. "Why did you suddenly turn on the light?" she inquired.
"To see the face of a narcissist," Caden retorted mockingly.
Alicia lowered her hand, ready to respond, but paused as she noticed the bite marks and sweat on his chest. She quickly covered them both with a blanket.
“How am I narcissistic? You admitted it, didn't you?" she challenged.
Caden paused, choosing his words carefully to avoid hurting her feelings.
Alicia exhaled deeply. "Since you're so fond of me, perhaps I should keep you. I can afford to give you $20, 000 a month."
Caden gave her a frosty look.
“With my Looks, I could become the richest man in the world in three days. And you offer me $20, 000 a month?" he questioned.
