Chapter: 502
He then exited the room.

The corner of Gerry's mouth twitched slightly. "What's with the cold shoulder? You'd think I was trying to steal your girlfriend."

Now that Alicia's hands were free, she picked up a painting.

It was securely wrapped and unlikely to be damaged.

She held it carefully in her arms and followed Caden to the elevator.

Curiosity got the better of Gerry. “What is that?"

“It's a painting my mother did."

As Alicia responded, she stole a glance at Caden. She then deliberately positioned herself on the opposite side to avoid contact with him.

Noticing this, Gerry intentionally drew her closer to Caden.

Then he said, “I'll stand over here by the trash."

Alicia was at a loss for words.

The elevator journey was brief, so she chose to remain silent.

Gerry, unable to stay quiet, asked, "Caden, have you been doing renovations?"

Alicia tensed up at the question.

Why was Gerry asking about that? Did he see something embarrassing?

Caden looked at him questioningly. "Why do you ask?"

Gerry explained, “When I entered, I noticed a large mirror in your living room near the balcony. Why there? It seems a bit creepy.”

Alicia was taken aback.

She bowed her head and retreated into the corner.

Caden let out a chuckle, possibly in response to Gerry's comment or Alicia's reaction. "It serves a purpose."

Gerry wasn't particularly concerned. "Alicia, do you like using the mirror in the living room? I thought you had a dressing room, right?"

Alicia remained silent.

Would he ever stop asking questions?

Caden's mind drifted to that mirror, bringing back memories of their intertwined days and nights.

When the mirror was first put up, it had witnessed the traces of their fervent lovemaking from the hallway to the living room.

The initial time they stood before the mirror, Alicia was so overwhelmed with shyness that she couldn't stop crying.

The memory was as clear as if it had just happened moments ago.

Caden swallowed hard, feeling a wave of warmth.

"Yeah, Alicia is stunning." He wasn't sure whom he was addressing.

"The mirror in the living room really highlights her beauty."
