Chapter: 547
Caden also received a delivery.
It included several sets of clothes and various daily essentials.
The innkeeper noticed several boxes of medicine among the items and, recognizing their importance, commented, “These are high-quality medications. Who sent them to you?"
Caden answered plainly, "A friend."
"Impressive," the innkeeper said and smiled. “These aren't easy to find, even with money. Are they for your girlfriend?"
"Yes," Caden said.
Alicia was surprised.
He didn't correct the innkeeper's assumption.
As Caden turned to take the packages, he noticed Alicia.
She had stayed in her room for two days, appearing paler and visibly thinner. Her small face looked even more delicate.
Caden approached her. “Does your back still hurt?"
Alicia hesitated to tell the truth.
"It still hurts," she responded, acting as though she hadn't heard their earlier conversation. She asked, "Did you have someone send the medicine?"
Caden raised an eyebrow and nonchalantly pocketed the medicine.
Alicia watched him with a knowing smile.
From his expression, she knew he was frustrated that he couldn't conceal an important fact from her any longer.
“Was it Hank who sent them?" Alicia gradually got to the point. “The delivery was quite fast."
The wind was strong outside, so Caden wrapped his coat around her as they made their way back inside. “Let's talk inside," he suggested.
Alicia replied, "It doesn't matter where we talk, Caden. You said the weather was too rough and the path was blocked, so we couldn't Leave. So how did you manage to get the medicine delivered?"
It was just an excuse; he clearly just wanted to spend more time here.
Now that they had the best medication for fractures and back pain, by tomorrow, she might be completely at Caden's mercy.
Did he keep her here because he thought having sex with her in a different place would be more exciting?
Caden entered the room and closed the door behind them.
He got straight to the point and asked, “Does your mouth still hurt?"
Alicia immediately became defensive. "Don't even think about it!"
Caden smirked.
It wasn't her choice to make.
He unzipped his pants and was about to proceed when a knock on the door interrupted him.
He paused, then reluctantly zipped up his pants.
He went to answer the door.
