Chapter: 552
Caden furrowed his brow. "Where are you going?"
Alicia wasn't upset. She was simply looking for the innkeeper.
Caden stood by the door, observing her as she entered the innkeeper's room. He noticed she stayed inside for over ten minutes before finally emerging.
She wrapped her coat tightly around herself.
Caden inquired, “Did you receive any advice?"
Alicia slouched as she went back in.
Caden felt curious about the kind of advice she had obtained.
Once the door clicked shut, he turned to see her slipping off the coat, revealing the dress she wore underneath.
His gaze darkened with intensity.
Alicia's smooth complexion made her look stunning in any outfit. Even a simple, playful ensemble exuded charm.
She tried to act confidently, but a flush crept across her cheeks.
"She sells these, so I chose one that fits me..."
As she spoke, she produced a headband adorned with cat ears and placed it atop her head.
"What do you think?" Nervously tugging at the hem of her dress, she added, “Do you like it?"
With a tense expression, Caden locked the door in silence.
Caden's chest moved with heavy breaths, signaling his growing tension.
Alicia braced herself, knowing her teasing had gone too far.
She wasn't skilled at using seductive words, so she simply wrapped her arms around Caden's neck and whispered, "Do you like it?"
Caden replied, “You're driving me crazy, you little minx."
Alicia pressed her face against his neck.
Just outside the window, the storm raged on. It was a chaotic mix of rain, snow, and thunder adding to the unsettling atmosphere.
Inside, the room felt hotter with each passing moment.
Alicia spoke softly between breaths. "From now on, when there's thunder and rain, I want to be the only one on your mind."
Caden paused, finally realizing why she had been so daring tonight.
Caden poured all the intense feelings he had into his actions.
He knew Alicia couldn't handle too much, so he paced himself with a two-on, one-off rhythm.
For every two rounds, they'd take an hour's rest.
The long winter night lasted over ten hours, and Caden made sure to use the time efficiently, ensuring his needs were met without completely wearing out Alicia.
Despite his attempts, she still fell into a deep sleep by morning.
Caden, on the other hand, slept only for two hours before getting up.
