Chapter: 563
Could Caden truly despise him enough to kill him?

If Caden had wanted him dead, he would have acted by now.

He wouldn't give in until the situation became utterly desperate.

When the car stopped, two men resembling bodyguards approached.

Joshua thought Caden had the courtesy to send escorts to greet him.

However, to his astonishment, as soon as he stepped out of the car, each man kicked him.

The pain in his knees almost forced him to the ground.

He managed to keep standing, furious. “What the hell?"

One of the bodyguards responded coldly, "This is a welcoming gesture from Mr. Ward. He sends his regards."

Joshua clenched his teeth.

A welcoming gesture? It was clearly meant to degrade him.

After the kicks, his knees felt shattered, and he staggered forward, almost as if he were kneeling.

He looked over at the nearby lawn where Caden was playing golf.

With a poised stroke, Caden drove a ball straight into the hole.

At the same moment, Joshua approached him.

Joshua stood tall despite the pain.

He tried to match Caden's strong presence, but Caden was taller and more commanding in every way.

Caden's authoritative presence wasn't a legacy from Jerald.

It was passed down from his mother.

It was a birthright of the Ward family.

Caden took off his sunglasses, revealing his cold stare, and looked at Joshua with indifference.

"Mr. Yates, you've made me wait."

Joshua's expression was intense. “If you plan to do something, just do it. Save the act!"

Almost immediately, one of the bodyguards behind him delivered another kick.

Joshua was forced to kneel.

Humiliation filled his expression.

Caden looked at him with disgust, curling his lips in disgust. “Hit three more balls."

The bodyguards complied.

They dragged Joshua across to the other side, secured his hands and feet, and suspended him from a pole.

From afar, Joshua resembled a powerless scarecrow.
