Chapter: 566
If she discovered that her parents had also fallen victim to Joshua, would she be driven to kill him?
Likely.
Killing him wouldn't make a difference; Joshua deserved it, and justice was finally done. If her hands were stained with blood, he would clean them for her.
Caden had never cleaned up such a massive mess for anyone, but as he held the shaking woman in his arms, he was prepared to do it now.
It took some time, but Alicia eventually regained her composure.
Caden kissed her cheek.
"Go inside and rest." He wiped the perspiration from her hand. "You have Low blood sugar. Have something sweet."
Alicia stubbornly claimed she was alright, but her complexion was deathly pale as she turned around.
Yet she didn't head inside immediately.
"I have something left to do."
Caden wrapped an arm around her waist. “Wasn't earlier enough?"
Alicia gestured to the dog she had brought.
"That dog took a piece of Monica's calf." Just the thought made Alicia's heart ache, and she stood up a bit straighter. "I want Joshua to lose a piece of flesh too."
Caden laughed softly.
He looked at her and said, “I thought you brought the dog to enjoy the show."
Alicia shivered.
She felt dizzy once more.
Caden had a bodyguard fetch a piece of candy, unwrapped it, and placed it in her mouth.
She frowned.
Noticing her reaction, he asked, “What's the matter?"
Alicia replied, “Strawberry-flavored candy is too sweet."
"If you don't like it, spit it out." He guided her into the Lounge, hand still on her waist. "I went to the trouble of feeding you, and you're still complaining."
Alicia rolled her eyes at him.
She looked at the plate. “Do you have any grapefruit-flavored candy?"
“There's a meat-flavored one. I have it. Want to try?"
Alicia was momentarily lost for words.
Her competitive spirit unfolded, and she refused to be outdone. "Sure. I want it freshly made. Will you get it for me?"
Caden smiled.
As they opened the door, the two bodyguards inside exchanged looks.
Alicia stopped, realizing that the dirty talk they had exchanged had been overheard. She was so embarrassed she wished she could disappear.
