Chapter: 614
She could hear that he was startled and was panicking.

Could he really be feeling anxious?

A wry smile crossed her lips.

Then she approached the table in front of her and spoke in her usual tone. "I reserved a spot here. I didn't expect to run into both of you."

As she spoke, she realized how difficult it was to catch her breath.

Taking a moment to steady herself, she continued, “It seems Miss Moss needs medical attention right away. You should take her to the hospital."

Caden frowned.

He stared at Alicia, trying to understand what she was thinking.

In this moment, he should have wished for her to be reasonable, but now that she was, he felt an odd sense of discomfort.

There was nothing romantic between him and Yolanda.

Why did Alicia behave so generously, as if she were a wife allowing her husband to keep a mistress?

He replied, "I'll find you later."

Alicia turned her face away and spoke in a cold tone. “It's not necessary."

Yolanda weakly lowered her head and said, "Caden, please set me down. You should clarify things with Ms. Bennett to avoid any misunderstanding."

Caden put on a stern face.

Noticing Alicia's detached demeanor, he understood that trying to explain would be futile.

"I'll take you to the hospital first," he told Yolanda.

Caden walked briskly toward his car.

Yolanda sobbed and spoke in a broken voice. "Do you think Ms. Bennett will hold me responsible? I'm sorry, Caden. I was incredibly selfish. I shouldn't have brought you into this. I truly regret it..."

Caden started the car, and his expression darkened.

He focused on the road ahead, but thoughts of Alicia filled his mind.

She stood quietly, poised and graceful.

However, her eyes reflected deep disappointment aimed at him.

A tightening sensation gripped his chest.

It was an emotion he had never experienced before.

When they arrived at the hospital, Yolanda seemed very understanding.

"Caden, you should go find Ms. Bennett. It's late, and she shouldn't be out alone," she advised.

Caden turned to the doctor and said, "Please keep me informed about her condition at all times."

Yolanda wore a faint smile.

“I'm fine, Caden. Don't worry about me," she assured him.
